Loved this movie, its worth the watch not for the sensitive hearted. Were is the picture. Mack's mall show is starting to fizzle. Ivan the incredible gorilla isn't bringing in the crowds like he used to. So he finds a new headliner and Ivan isn't sure how to feel about it. He would be content to draw with Julia and stay in his cage forever, but he wants freedom and protection for his friends. But what can a lone gorilla do? In this heartwarming movie, based on a true story, friendship and creativity save the day in more ways than one. You can catch it now streaming on Disney plus! I saw Ivan several times as a kid and I HATED it. I hated seeing him behind such dirty glass just POUNDING and POUNDING into it over and over with his whole body definitely to get out somehow. The mall B&I still exists and it was a dump then and a dump even more now. I cannot believe they kept a gorilla there the owners should've been jailed. And Disney made such a foolish movie from the start. It is NOT inspired by a true story because guess what? If Ivan could really talk he wouldn't say that B.S. about being angry for a show. He was captured/kidnapped by idiots and used TO BRING IN MONEY. He was not saved and raised in good or even decent conditions. His anger was REAL. So disappointed in this movie.

What about the glossary. The clones 😂🤣. Awe such a sweet, heart-felt and at times hysterically funny film in its dark humor in which is rare to find great comedy. certainly when it pertains to one of humanities worst moments in time next to slavery! Its perspective of those rarely thought about back then is unique and refreshing! I just hope the meaning or the message of this film isnt taken incorrectly or viewed as disrespectful. This film depicts the reality of life for children caught up on both sides of the battle line between German nazis and Jewish Humans as they grew up in a time of such hate. It depicts a view point that Ive personally never contemplated and that is being a young 10 yo surrounded by grandiose elders/role-models who told despicable lies, fairytales, and fed pure hate to frighten, enthuse and hold captive for war, the youths of that time. These kids ultimately were spare bodies on the field or if female: trained to be baby makers of a so called pure race 🤦🏻‍♀️ As JOJO demonstrates, kids wouldve been fed with ridiculous notions of the “enemy” as though Jews were from nightmares and encouraged to hate and then fight or procreate on behalf of a hideous, sick man and a pathetic nation still whining from their loser status of world war 1. Imagine the battle within a growing mind of wanting to stay loyal to the supposed cause yet witnessing and experiencing huge, blatant contradictions when face to face with the so-called enemy. I feel this film really represented the battlefield in the minds of impressionable children fighting against what they were taught to believe and taught religiously not to question yet seeing for him or herself the proof and contradiction of what they were raised in fact wasnt true and were blatant lies. Im just impressed with the story line, gave a fresh perspective yet honed in on the brutality of the reichs crimes and the suffering of the victims involved.
